Who publishes this site
solarpanelsforholidaylets.co.uk is published by SEO-DONS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16766013, Companies House status active), with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ. It is an independent information site for owners and operators of holiday cottages, lodges, glamping sites and small self-catering parks. It is not an installer. It does not hold MCS, NICEIC, RECC or TrustMark membership, it does not carry out surveys or installations, and nothing on it is a quote.
How the figures are sourced
Costs, payback ranges and tax points on these pages are indicative and are labelled as such. They draw on public sources including gov.uk, Ofgem, the Planning Portal, the Energy Saving Trust and Resource Efficient Scotland, and each page says where a number is modelled rather than measured. The Highland Farm Cottages study is a published third-party case and is described as a mixed-renewables project, not a solar-only result. The coastal cottage study is an illustrative model, not a real customer.
What happens to your enquiry
When you send an enquiry through any form on this site it reaches us and we reply by email. We do not currently pass enquiries to an installer or any other third party. If you want a survey or a fixed-price quote, choose an installer yourself and check their MCS certification on the MCS register before you sign.
Tax, planning and funding
The tax position of a holiday let changed on 6 April 2025 when the Furnished Holiday Lettings regime was abolished. We are not tax advisers: take your own tax advice, and treat the figures here as a starting point for that conversation.
